Live Music
Max was born in Livigno (SO) on 6 September 1971. While still only a boy he became interested in the music that is still his passion today: the accordion, the piano and jazz.
His name was a sign of his destiny because his mother – a great fan of Mina, the well-known singer from Cremona – decided to call him Massimiliano after the singer’s son.
Max’s voyage through music started at the age of eight, thanks to Ennio Peccedi, a dedicated master of the accordion. By listening to Peccedi’s playing for hours and hours Max drew near to the art of music and started learning to play the accordion.
At the age of thirteen he joined the Vecchio Mulino orchestra, thus getting used to playing in public and participating in various entertainments and folk festivals.
He enrolled in the IPSIA technical college in Tirano, obtaining the diploma of Mechanical Industries Expert and, in his free time, continued to devote himself constantly to studying the piano and spent a lot of time listening to jazz, which, with its swing and its harmony, aroused his true musical spirit.
His deep love for this type of music led him to participate in a seminar held by Guido Manusardi in Tirano, thus broadening his knowledge and getting to know the fascinating world of improvisation.
The three months he spent in England to improve his knowledge of English, increased his spirit of research and his desire to know more about the international musical world and so he decided to study at the Civica Scuola di Musica school of music in Sondrio (piano and singing).
However, Max’s greatest influences were the pianist Marco Felesina – with whom he still takes lessons in harmony and improvisation – and the Brazilian singer, Dilene Ferraz, his present singing teacher.
He has been devoting himself to live music for ten years, performing as soloist in piano bars, restaurants and hotels and also at gala evenings, banquets and conventions.
For the past two years Max has been playing with the cover band Rumble Tumble and is part of the interesting Max & Monica duet.
Max is now a true professional musician.
